CATCHING UP

Hey everyone what's up,
First off I apologize for not writing in a while. I spent a lot of time this offseason with my family, training hard for this season, and working on my charity Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors.
I feel better than ever this season and so far the hard work is paying off. I love going out there and playing football and cannot say enough how much I appreciate all of you fans for your support. We have had a rough start so far and we need to work as a team to pull it all together and win some games. We have a lot of talent on this team.
I am excited that my charity is beginning construction on another handicap accessible Home for a Wounded Warrior. I had the honor of meeting P.F.C. Joshua Bullis when we played San Diego this season, he was at the Balboa Hospital then so it was easy for him to make it to the game. He is a true hero and an inspiration to all for what he has done for our country. Plus he rocked a prosthetic arm with a full sleeve of tattoos which was awesome… Thank you all that donated or purchased one of my SUPPORTER shirts, every dollar helps us do so much. I am dedicated to doing whatever is in my power to continue to raise money for this much needed cause.
I will do my best to continue writing to you all when I get the chance. Time to get back to work.
Remember, make it hot and keep it SAXY…
Thanks  and God Bless!
JA

Nicole Wegner
Nicole Wegner on October 26, 2011 6:47am Dear Jared, Hello, my name is Nicole. I am writing you today to ask a favor. My brother Aaron is in the US Air Force, currently deployed to Afghanistan. He is one of the best brothers you could ever ask for! He joined the Air Force when he was 18 and was immediatly sent to Germany for 2 years after basic training camp. He then got home and was stationed in Colorado Springs, CO and was only there for a couple months and then got deployed to Afghanistan. He is an avid hunter and has not been able to go in almost 4 years because of the military. He is coming home in December and all he can talk about is that he can't wait to go hunting. We live in Arlington, MN which is a very small hickville town about 45 minutes west of Minneapolis. I know this is a long shot, but I know you like to hunt and I was wondering if there was anyway you would consider going hunting with my brother even if it was only for and hour. He loves you so much and it would mean the world to him, and lets not kid ourselves I would be the best sister in the world! lol Anyways along time ago when you first came to MN you went hunting with my husband's boss and his hunting group through the bar Cabin Fever in Victoria, MN and I heard you have a pretty hilarious tattoo :) Well my email is nicolewegner@me.com it would be awesome to hear from you! Thanks again, Nicole! P.S. Thank you for all you do for our wounded warriors ! God Bless the USA!

Mnmike on January 04, 2012 8:33am Jared, thanks for playing so hard every single game. Even with the season we had, I would watch because of your enthusiasm. I really, really appreciate your comments at the end of this season too. There is something much more important in life then work and sleep and kids need role models like you that point them to Jesus. We have enough players in the NFL that are in trouble, we need football players that the next generation can really learn from. Congratulations on your achievements and I'm looking forward to next season. Well done and thanks again.
